Dr Yahya- Terms and Conditions (including fees)

Dr Yahya sees self funded patients and he is registered with all major insurance companies.

1. Self funding Fees from 1st August 2025

  • New patients are seen for one hour and this is charged at £600
  • Follow up appointments are for 30 minutes, and this is charged at £300.
  • Payment is to be made prior to the consultation.
  • Additional requested letters (e.g. for benefits, extenuating circumstances, work absence): £50-£100 depending on the time required by Dr Yahya to produce this document. Medical reports are charged at £550 per hour.

2. Insurance companies:

If you have private medical insurance, please provide confirmation of your membership details and authorisation code prior to your appointment. Please note that if payment is to be made through your private medical insurance and an excess is due or the insurance company declines the payment then you remain liable for the payment. It is your responsibility to confirm with your insurer in advance that your care is covered by your insurance policy.

3. ADHD Assessments

This will be a 2-hour assessment and is charged at £1500, for both self-funding and insured patients.

4. Autism diagnostic assessments

This will be a 2-hour assessment and is charged at £2500.
If you have private medical insurance, please provide confirmation of your membership details and authorisation code prior to your appointment.

5. Prescriptions

• Prescriptions written during the appointment are not charged for.
• Controlled drug prescriptions outside of an appointment are charged at a fee of £40.
• Other prescriptions outside of an appointment are charged at £30.

6. Cancellations or changing appointment times

• If you know that you will not be able to make your clinic appointment, please notify Dr Yahya’s secretary as soon as possible.
• Appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full by his team.
• Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice will not be charged.

7. Telephone Calls and Email Correspondence.

• Telephone calls following your appointment will be charged at £50 per 5 minutes.
• Any email correspondence outside an appointment will be charged at £40.

8. Correspondence

• Dr Yahya’s usual practice is to write to your GP after your appointment and you will always be sent a copy of this letter.
• Please let Dr Yahya’s team know if you would prefer him not to send a letter to your GP or if you do not wish to receive a copy of his letter.
• Please note that Dr Yahya will be unable to prescribe medication without your consent for him to write to your GP

9. Ongoing Care

If a follow up appointment hasn’t been booked with Dr Yahya and he hasn’t seen a patient within 3xmonths they will automatically be removed from his caseload. They will need to contact their GP or NHS mental health team for ongoing care. However, he will be happy to see them should they rerefer.
